Work life balance - A case study of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL)



Work-life balance is used to describe the equilibrium between responsibilities at work and responsibilities outside paid work; having a work-life balance means that this equilibrium is in the right position for the individual concerned. The objectives of the study is,to study the behavior of the employees at work and in life i.e. work life balance of HPSEBL employees and to study the causes of stress and its effects on work as well as life. It is a descriptive study based upon primary and secondary data. As per the study, there is no policy for maintaining the work life balance of employees in the department. They should provide the policy to employees such as flexible start time, flexible end time, flexible in general, removal of biometric attendance system, support from supervisors, etc. so that they can maintain better balance in work and life.
